update on deck

Here is the new deck that JB is building between the new room & the pool. The pool is open and looking good.

The new room/office door opens up to the deck then steps up to the pool. The deck is 36' x 10'. If the SandRidge thing doesn't work out, JB could get a job building decks.

greens, beautiful greens

This yummy bowl of fresh picked baby spinach, white onions, cherry radishes, baby red leaf lettuce and mesculin mix will be turned in to a wonderful asian ginger salad for dinner tonight!
Here's the spinach.
Radishes & baby bell pepper plants.
Many, many onions.

what's up that tree??

Jake has been going nuts around this tree for a few days now & I couldn't figure out what was up there & figured it was a nest of birds. Boy, was I wrong!

Jake lays and watches and drools . . . .

Here's a close-up of the coon!

Crazy Squirrel!

This squirrel was so comfortable with humans that he hung out in the middle of a group of people during the "Ranger Talk". He really wanted inside of my bag, but there was not even any food in there! I guess so many people do feed the wildlife that they are less wild, but still dangerous if they bite you. Just remember to "keep wildlife wild"!
