New School Year

Raven and Luke got to meet their new teachers today!!

Giga Ball

Raven chose a GigaBall to order for her birthday present. We let her order from Amazon the things that she really wanted and this was one of them. They and the neighbor kids are having a blast with it!

Zoo Day '07

I took Raven & Luke to the Zoo for "Way Back Wednesday". We got there at 7:30 AM to see the animals getting fed and it was nice and cool for about the 1st hour. We saw the animals playing and being active. JB was able to meet us there for a while to go through the Oklahoma Trails and the Pachyderm & Lion areas. We had a great day!

Hunter S JB Pimp Daddy Akin

We came up with a number of names that JB fit into with these peepers - Dr Peepers, that is.
Sent us yours . . .

Pals

JB, Ben & Kent (not pictured) hiked Elk Mountain on Saturday. It was Kent's 1st adventure with the boys - he survived & seems to have really enjoyed him self.
I believe a few lessons were learned this weekend - but I will let JB list those.

Sleepover Makeover

Raven, Erica, Mack & Amanda did makeovers on each other before popcorn & movie time. These girls were the best! No fussing or fighting, just fun and playing. They watched High School Musical & were asleep by 11:30.

Birthday Party!!

Pirate swim party, pizza, cake, ice cream & games! The kids had a good time. I make up a treasure hunt with clues all around the yard that 2 teams had to navigate. I didn't sent any of them in circles, which was good.

Onry Ombre

Luke sure think's he's one funny guy!

Happy Birthday Raven & Papa!

Can't believe Raven's 8!!
Raven & my Dad share a birthday. We went out to dinner last night to celebrate their special day.

3rd is a charm!!

Now we have Twilight Zone, Star Trek and Theater of Magic (as of today)
Come enjoy the pinball joy of the Akin garage!!!

Later Days Bike

The bike sold last night.
1st guy that came to see it, bought it.

Treehouse Hoop-la

JB spent most of Saturday helping the Puryear Family build a tree house. This is the progress when me and the kids got there about 2:45. It's a nice addition to their back yard.

Fun in the sun - sorta

During their picnic it began to sprinkle, so they moved it under the table. They have really been enjoying swimming now that it is finally warm enough and the rain is holding off for the most part. They like to use their snorkeling masks from Hawaii.

fun from the evening . . . .

I'll publish more pics tomorrow -
There are some good, some bad, some ugly :)

These are some of the good -
No firework records were set this year, maybe next year it will not be as wet and we can continue the "Bingo Jack" tradition!!

Bingo Jack

Happy 4th of July!!
Although the large extravaganza was canceled - we did a family event with the Hag-Pur-Lee-Akin's. I believe fun was had by all!

Our new toy

JB got us a Twilight Zone pin-ball machine this weekend. It has found it's home in the garage next to JB's fridge.
We are all enjoying playing it together.

The Akin's are Green belts!

We all tested last week for our green belts. Raven & Luke did very well this time. We are very proud of them.
